Teri Jetter, MS, OTR/L,

Director Of Sensory Solutions

Teri graduated from San Jose State University’s Occupational Therapy Masters of Science Program in 1995. She has completed extensive continuing education and training in the areas of integration of sensory and motor systems, sensory regulation, oral motor development, visual processing, ocular motor development, fine motor, gross motor development, feeding challenges, and handwriting techniques. Professionally, Teri has nearly 20 years of pediatric experience providing intervention and consultation in private clinic settings, school-based settings and in-home settings. Teri has a special interest in building relationships with kids and their families and providing much needed support, resources and education to families.

Kirsi Niva, MS, OTR/L - Kirsi received her bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy in Finland in 1999. She has lived in the Bay Area since 2006 and graduated from San Jose State University’s Occupational Therapy Masters of Science Program in 2011. Kirsi has worked at Sensory Solutions since 2016. Kirsi has worked with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Delays, Down Syndrome, ADHD, and sensory processing difficulties. She has continuing education and training in the areas of sensory integration, therapeutic listening, feeding therapy, and pediatric yoga. She has continued education and training in the areas of sensory integration, self-regulation, Floortime, therapeutic listening, executive function, visual perception, and feeding therapy. Kirsi is caring and very passionate about working with children and their families. She strongly believes in play-based occupational therapy, teamwork, and collaboration with families. In her free time, Kirsi enjoys traveling, watching ice hockey, hiking, and spending time with her family.

Elaine Tsang, MS, OTR/L - has been a pediatric occupational therapist since 2000. She received her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Tufts University. Her previous experience includes evaluation and treatment for children with a variety of motor and sensory challenges across many settings. She is experienced in working with children with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, dyspraxia, dysgraphia, Developmental Coordination Disorder, and feeding difficulties. Elaine has practiced occupational therapy in hospitals, schools, California Children’s Services, and private practice. Through continuing education courses, Elaine has become trained in multiple areas including, Rhythmic Movement, Brain Gym, The Listening Program, Handwriting Without Tears, and Interactive Metronome. Elaine spent 10 years as an expat in Beijing where she worked in international schools and international hospitals. When she finds spare time she enjoys planning trips, running, reading, and spending time with her husband and 2 kids. Elaine especially enjoys her role making a difference in the lives of those children and families she works with.

Megan Seto, MS, OTR/L - is a licensed and registered occupational therapist who received her Master's of Occupational Therapy from University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2013. Including her field works in North Carolina at an outpatient pediatric clinic, Emerge – A Child's Place and University of North Carolina (UNC) Hospitals in Acute Child Psychiatry, Megan has over 13 years of pediatric work and volunteer experiences with a wide variety of diagnoses (Autism, Sensory Processing and Integration disorders, Psychiatric disorders,Intellectual Disability, Developmental Delays), ages, and settings (preschools, elementary schools, daycare, outpatient, inpatient). In her free time, Megan enjoys cooking, eating out, painting, crafting, and spending time with her husband and their two cats, Cornelius and Tabitha. As an occupational therapist, Megan strives to facilitate self-discovery and empowerment in her clients through building strong, trusting therapeutic rapport and use of client-centered interventions. It is very important to her that her clients feel worthy, valued, and successful.

Jessica Thornton, MS, OTR/L - Jessica is a licensed and certified occupational therapist who received her Masters in Occupational Therapy from San Jose State University. She was born and raised in the Bay area and has experience working with kids with special needs in a variety of capacities. Jessica has been part of the Sensory Solutions team for over 4 years. Her favorite part of the job is building relationships with her clients and their families. Jessica recently became a mom and has found a new appreciation for the role of Occupational Therapy. She loves connecting with families and offering support and education to improve engagement and enjoyment in life’s meaningful occupations. In her free time, she enjoys traveling (especially Hawaii), yummy food, a good cup of coffee, and spending time with her family.
Matt Testa OTR/L - Matt graduated with both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in occupational therapy from San Jose State University’s Occupational Therapy program. He was born and raised in the Bay Area and strives to give back to his community whenever he can. Matt has spent his career in pediatrics, working both in the homes of his clients and in outpatient clinic settings. He has worked with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Delays, Chromosomal Abnormalities, ADHD and Sensory Processing Disorder. He has continuing education and training in Ayer’s Sensory Integration through the University of Southern California, feeding therapy, primitive reflexes, Handwriting Without Tears, Zones of Regulation for self-regulation and therapeutic listening program. Matt believes deeply in the client therapist and family therapist relationship. He feels this relationship builds trust and allows for the best outcomes in the therapeutic process. He likes the therapy process to be collaborative with his clients, ultimately building skills and confidence for his clients to pursue their interests. Matt enjoys spending his free time with his wife, daughter and extended family. Together, they enjoy spending time in nature hiking, skiing, fishing, being at the beach, and wine tasting.
Katie Hart OTD, OTR/L - received her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy in 2021 from Rocky Mountain College in Billings, MT.  She is the newest addition to Sensory Solutions, but has been involved with the clinic since 2018, completing observation hours, Level 2 Fieldwork and her Capstone this past year.  Katie has always had a passion working with children of all ages from infants to Maternal Health, volunteering in the NICU, obtaining her Bachelor's Degree in Art Education and completing a Doula certification. She aims to provide compassionate, client-centered care to help her clients achieve their goals through a playful, collaborative experience. Katie loves to paint pet portraits during her free time, take road trips, explore the outdoors and soak up with sun with her boyfriend, cat, dog, and two bearded dragons!
